Anxiety/ Panic Disorder/ Social Anxiety

If you have ever had a panic attack, you know that it can feel like an elephant stepping on your chest that is making it impossible to breathe. Once you have had an attack, you may be afraid that you are going to have another one, so you will do almost anything to avoid it. My goal is help you lessen the underlying thoughts, behaviors and actions that are causing the anxiety and the panic attacks. By utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I will help you target the root cause of your anxiety. Additionally, if you are experiencing social anxiety, I will lead you through a step by step plan to encourage you to become more confident around your friends, family members and co-workers. Major Depressive Disorder

If you find yourself feeling hopeless and lethargic or disinterested in the things you once enjoyed, you may be experiencing symptoms of depression. Many people with depression frequently review the mistakes they have made in the past and they feel like they have failed themselves and others. They may notice changes in their sleeping and eating habits. During individual therapy, I will work alongside you to help you lift the cloud of depression. By using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT) we will target the origin of your depression and use techniques to decrease the negative thoughts and feelings that may accompany it.
